A true pioneer, Giulio Ferrari was the first to realise the extraordinary potential of Trentino and started to plant Chardonnay in 1902. He started to produce few highly selected bottles of sparkling wine and in few years managed to create a wine capable of competing with the bet Champagnes. In 1952 Bruno Lunelli was chosen by Giulio as his successor and the family is still very much at the helm of this iconic Italian winery.
The Perle’ is sourced from the best Chardonnay from the Lunelli’s family own vineyards and it is without a doubt the wine that best describe the style of Ferrari. The strict selection of just the best fruit and the extended lees aging, give this wine an incredible elegance and complexity. The nose is very expressive, boasting rich notes of baked apples, quince, nectarines, almond flowers and toast. On the palate the wine is harmonious, with fruity, aromatic notes of white fruit, marzipan and brioche. The result is a concentrated, powerful wine with a great balance and great potential for aging. The Perle will be the perfect companion to noble seafood and caviar.£4.8 per 100.00ml
