Marie Lise Bischoff created Nejma after attending a reading on an Arabic tale and falling in love with the heroine, Nejma. Captured by pirates and sold into the slave market, Nejma was chosen by the ‘Vizire’ to be his wife due to her stunning beauty, her spontaneous sweetness and the enhancing perfume naturally exhaled by her body.
From the union of Nejma and the Vizire, were born 7 beautiful daughters. To pay tribute and to immortalize their mother, each daughter created a fragrance as their interpretation of their mother’s maternal perfume. This is the way seven fragrances were created, mixing different ingredients but always accompanying Oud.
The fourth daughter of Nejma, Oven offers all the freshness of a floral note, thanks to essences of ylang ylang, bourbon geranium and fruity Italian bergamot orange and vineyard peaches. Its heart is a smooth symphony of Egyptian jasmine, wild narcissus and roses of Ottomane which stretch slowly to a woodier touch, where the oakmoss and the resin of cistus revolve majestically around the oud wood.
