The Naimeg family have been growing coffee since Gerson Naimeg began farming in 1965. Londrina is a large farm made up of 394 hectares, with coffee trees growing on over 200 hectares.
Like many farms, Londrina has diversified the coffee varietals it grows. By growing Catuai, Icatu and Acaia varietals the Naimeg’s can protect their crops from harmful diseases and limit the coffees that may be susceptible. The different varietals also ripen at different times enabling a rolling harvest which allows them to concentrate on quality rather than speed.
The CO2 decaffeination process is a chemical-free way of extracting the caffeine from the beans.
