Perrier- Jouët Belle Epoque represents one of the world's most loved and recognisable Prestige Cuvée Champagnes. Uniquely, each bottle is adorned with a hand-painted flower design that was created in 1902 by Emile Gallé, one of the greatest figures of the Art Nouveau movement. Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rose 2006 is composed of 45% chardonnay, which imparts the wine with a delightful freshness and lifted floral notes. The generosity and the fresh fruit character comes from the 50% pinot noir grapes, whilst the roundness and ripe fruit comes from the 5% pinot meunier grapes. These three varieties come together beautifully before being bottled and aged for six years in the cellars of Perrier-Jouët. Belle Epoque Rose 2006 is clearly marked by the floral signature of Perrier-Jouët. A refined nose reveals a perfumed bouquet of raspberry, cherry, peony and roses. A delicate, elegant palate reveals notes of wild strawberries, summer raspberries and savoury complex undertones coupled with a roundness, balance and delicacy. Sublimely long on the finish, and with great ability to age and improve over time, this would be a stylish way to toast any special occasion.
