Characterised by purity and stature, the wines of Follin-Arbelet are made in a labour intensive traditional manner without the use of herbicides or pesticides and are bottled unfined and unfiltered. The resulting wines offer great charm and integrity along with offering great value for money against regional counterparts. This village level expression wine offers subtlety and elegance on the nose and displays aromas of strawberries, cherries, violet along with developing complex notes. The palate is soft and round with balanced structure, red fruit and herbal flavours and generous length and flavour. Soft, mellow and ready to drink this wine would pair well with pheasant, guinea foul and pigeon along with roast pork.£4.27 per 100.00ml
The Domaine Follin-Arbelet family have been important vineyard owners in Burgundy’s Aloxe-Corton since the 19th century, during which time they owned prime sites on the hill of Corton. Franck Follin, currently in charge of the estate, is the first member of the family to be fully involved in production from vine to bottle and the releases have since gone from strength to strength.
