Located 120km to the south of Mendoza, near the village of Vista Flores, Bodega Flechas de los Andes stands simply before the power of the majestic Andes Mountains. The winery is the result of an alliance between Laurent Dassault and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, from which the name Flechas de los Andes, meaning ‘Arrows of the Andes’, alludes to the five arrows of the Rothschild family symbol.
Gran Corte 2010 is a blend of 60% Malbec, 30% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Franc. All grapes were sourced from selected vineyard plots with low yields and on altitudes above 1,100 meters. The grapes were picked and sorted by hand, prior to being transferred to the tanks via gravity and was aged for 18 months in new barrels. A wine that will pair perfectly with beef, lamb, other meats and grilled steaks. Dark red, almost black shot through with purple, this is intense on the nose with earthy black fruit aromas and liquorice. This rich and powerful wine is full bodied with firm tannins. Intense flavours of plums, anise and black fruits are supported by spice and well integrated savoury French oak on the very long and lingering finish.£4.2 per 100.00ml
