Arguably Italy's most famous and collectable wine, Tenuta San Guido's Sassicaia has an iconic reputation built on incredible longevity and exceptional quality. The name Sassicaia translates as 'the place of many stones', and refers to the region's gravel rich soil, similar to that found in areas of Bordeaux which were an inspiration for the creation of this wine. This limited edition, single vintage, small batch Grappa is produced for Sassicaia by grappa specialists Jacopo Poli. Produced from distilling the grape skins of the varieties Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, this fine spirit is aged for four years in barrique before being finished for six months in wine barrels formerly used to age Sassicaia. Complex and refined with an abundance of character and charm, this amazing eau-de-vie makes a memorable digestif and is the perfect gift for admirers and collectors of Sassicaia.
