The wine itself is full-bodied with enticing aromas of cherry liqueur and red berries with some interesting tobacco and savoury notes. Concentrated and rich on the palate, this wine displays mouth-filling plum and blueberry flavours with juicy bright acidity and a spicy, earthy depth. An individual and intriguing wine that offers amazing drinkability and enjoyment. Particularly delicious when paired with slow cooked lamb.
Born in Burgundy and inspired by the wines of Beaujolais, Louis-Antoine Luyt is one of Chile’s most exciting and dynamic young wine makers. Produced from organically grown handpicked grapes from 200 year old Cinsault vines, vineyards on the estate are tended using horses bypassing machinery in order to keep the soil in perfect condition. A “natural” approach is also applied in the winery where only natural yeasts are used for fermentation and the wine is neither fined nor filtered prior to bottling.
