Perrier- Jouët Belle Epoque represents one of the world's most loved and recognisable Prestige Cuvée Champagnes. Uniquely, each bottle is adorned with a hand-painted flower design that was created in 1902 by Emile Gallé, one of the greatest figures of the Art Nouveau movement. The Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2006 is an assemblage of 55% chardonnay, 45% pinot noir and 5% pinot meunier. The Chardonnay grapes, sourced from the vineyards of Cramant, Avize and Chouilly give the wine its freshness and its classic floral notes. The pinot noir grapes, picked from Mailly, Verzy and Ay provide the blend with its generous fruit flavours while the small percentage of pinot meunier adds a beautifully, rounded body. The wine is aged for six years in the cellars of Perrier-Jouët before release. Rich and creamy in style, this Champagne reveals expressive spice and floral notes on the nose, while a layered delivery on the palate suggests baked apple, white blossom and lemon zest. Lingering and round on the finish, and with great ability to age and improve over time, this would be a stylish way to toast any special occasion.
