Winston Churchill’s favourite Champagne house was founded in 1849 by Pol Roger who from the very start favoured a dry-styled Champagne knowing it was the preference of the English palate. Ever since that time the house has produced wines of tremendous quality class and balance.
This is a flagship release; a Champagne composed from 30 still base wines drawn from at least two vintages using the varieties of Champagne pinot noir chardonnay and pinot meunier in equal proportions. Stylistically Pol Roger’s Brut Réserve is medium-bodied with an attractive fruity balance and refreshing acidity. Aromas of brioche honey and stone fruit grace the nose whilst the palate is dry crisp flavoursome and very drinkable. One of the best non-vintage wines available Réserve Brut is the perfect apértif Champagne.
