The history of this famous Champagne house dates back to 1772, when Philippe Clicquot founded a wine-making business under the name Clicquot. In 1810 this was renamed Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin after the young widow Barbe Nicole Ponsardin who inherited the estate. Ever in pursuit of excellence and innovation, Madame Clicquot used her skills to develop an exceptional wine-growing territory and went on to establish what is today one of the most famous names in Champagne.
Delicate and sophisticated in style, this delicious medium-bodied champagne unveils soft layers of raspberry, cherry blossom and brioche on the nose, leading to notes of dried fruits, almonds and apricot on the palate. Enjoy with smoked salmon or strawberries with cream.
