Wool Week

Wool Week at Harvey Nichols

Harvey Nichols is a proud supporter of The Campaign for Wool, and this year we have a spectacular and innovative installation that will see the Knightsbridge store wrapped in over 100 metres of illuminated wool.

The wool warps and wefts around the store in a gigantic 3D spectacle, with a huge ball of yarn that perches over Knightsbridge, with accompanying oversized knitting needles.

The wool has been donated by H Dawson grower suppliers from countries around the world including Australia, New Zealand, UK and Ireland.

Chief Executive of H. Dawson Wool, Jo Dawson comments below:

“We are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious and show-stopping event during Wool Week 2012. Being able to wrap wool around such an iconic building as the Harvey Nichols flagship store in London is proof that wool remains at the cutting edge of fashion and can be used in the most innovative of ways.

We have supplied combed wool tops that have been brought together with help from our worldwide network of wool growers. H. Dawson’s global presence means that we work in partnership with a large number of experienced and dedicated wool growers, who were on hand to help with this impressive project. H. Dawson Wool is committed to working in partnership year after year with the Campaign for Wool and Wool Week, to celebrate this amazing, beautiful and modern fibre. We are passionate about sharing the benefits of this natural, renewable and biodegradable raw material with those consumers who want to understand where their products come from. We are delighted to be able to help support the global wool industry, from the grower to the end user and every stage in between.”
