To celebrate the great British summer, and the opening of our terrace, Head Chef Richard Walton Allen has created a delicious summer dining menu, with eight mouth-watering choices, including a lobster club sandwich with pancetta and tarragon mayonnaise, each matched with a glass of wine.

Live jazz performance

Bank Holiday Jazz

Friday 22 August  - Monday 25 August

The Fourth Floor Cafe and Bar will play to a series of live jazz perfomances during August Bank Holiday weekend.

Cleve Freckleton Trio
Friday 22 August, 7-11pm
Fronted by the magnetic, dynamic, gravel-voiced Cleve "Rev. Chunky" Freckleton. Expect to hear heartfelt covers of bands ranging from The Doors to Bill Withers.

Wayne Clarke Trio
Saturday 23 August, 7-11pm

Wayne Clarke is one of the most recognised musicians on the Leeds scene. Expect a wide range of Atlantic Soul classics, including Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Donny Hathaway and Otis Redding.

Lewis Express
Sunday 24 August, 12-4pm

Look forward to foot stomping soul jazz from some of the UK's finest musicians, paying homage to the great Ramsey Lewis and many other soul-jazz heroes.

Simon Says Quartet
Monday 25 August, 12-4pm
Fronted by Simon Kaylor on tenor sax and Simon Beddoe on trumpet/flugel horn this chilled jazz performance pays tribute to jazz legends, from Donald Byrd to Stan Getz.

A summer jazz themed menu will be available Friday and Saturday evening priced at £35 , plus A la Carte menus will be available. A Jazz brunch menu will be available Sunday and Monday Lunchtimes

Wine Master Classes

4th July and 29th August 7-8pm

Hosted by Playford Ros Wine Merchants these informative wine master classes will be focusing on Classic European wines and then Italy.

Places are limited and tickets are priced at £10 per person and include the tasting of six wines and a talk. 

A la Carte and Prix Fixe dinner menus will be available in the Fourth Floor Café throughout the evening and Wine at Wine Shop prices will be available to Bite members and their guests.

Join us in the Espresso Bar every Thursday evening, from 26 June to 11 September, to relax with our Summer in the City live jazz sessions.

Come and enjoy the music, try our new Summer in the City menu, or just enjoy some Champagne and strawberries after a long days work or shopping.

George Grant on guitar and Richard Holmes on guitar, both musicians graduated from the Leeds College of music.
           
The Summer in the City menu will run alongside the Espresso Bar full menu from 4pm - 7pm, perfomances will run from 5pm - 8pm


Espresso Bar Picnics

Sunday 17th and 31st August 6pm - 10pm

Providing a great opportunity to enjoy a summer picnic without having to worry about the weather, these evenings offer the chance to listen to some great musical entertainment whilst enjoying a picnic style dinner in the Espresso Bar.

This year we are delighted to welcome Oliver Brooke, proud winner of 'Strung Out', the York acoustic singer/songwriter competition. Oliver will be enchanting you with songs from voices of the past such as Johnnie Cash and Frank Sinatra. 

Start your evening with a glass of Harvey Nichols Brut or Rosé Champagne followed by a picnic basket filled with a selection of dishes including fresh seafood and home made pâtés and a choice of summer desserts.  
 
Tables can be booked between 6pm and 7pm and the entertainment will start at 6pm.

Tickets are £35 per person and include a glass of Champagne, the performance and picnic basket dinner.
