Colour Blocking
Inspired by the early 90s trend for mixing contrasting blocks of colour together, this is a dynamic, high impact and modern way to inject vivid colour into your wardrobe.
Colour blocking is a great way to experiment with mixing & matching energetic brights that normally wouldn't be seen together, fuchsia & tangerine for example. You can work the look by combining clashing separates or accessories such as a canary yellow top with a royal blue pencil skirt, or go for a ready-made look such as the dresses above. And if in doubt, the simplest way to colour block is to use the fashionista's perennial favourite - black and wear with saturated jolts of colour.
