The Perfect TEN

Long before Carrie Bradshaw uttered the words 'Cosmopolitan, please', fashion and cocktails have gone hand-in-hand. After all, every girl has the perfect cocktail dress in their wardrobe, and now they can have the perfect fashion cocktail. Giles Deacon, who's favourite drink is a martini, naturally, has collaborated with Tanqueray No. TEN to create a limited edition Martini Collection.

The T10 Martini Collection is a luxury case that includes everything you need to create a couture martini, elegantly and effortlessly, wherever the location. Giles was keen to work on the design with the classic luxury gin brand, "Just like fashion design, the skill in creating beautiful cocktails is all about detail and using the highest quality ingredients you can get. Tanqueray No. TEN has a fresh, smooth taste, making it the ultimate gin for creating martinis."

The case, which includes a bottle of T10, two handmade martini glasses, a miniature Boston cocktail shaker, strainer and mixing spoon, is exclusive to Harvey Nichols Wine Shops, and with only ten available in the UK and Ireland, is every fashion and cocktail lover's must have.

Inspired by American Airstream caravans for the silver capsule-like exterior finish of the kit, the design is a combination of the classic art deco bottle design with a retro finishing. The interior of the case is lined with printed shot silk featuring one of Giles' renowned graphic prints based on the symmetrical forms of the 1920s - the era which first celebrated the martini.

Just ten of the Tanqueray No. TEN Martini Collection by Giles will be available exclusively at Harvey Nichols Wine Shops in London, Dublin, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Leeds, priced at £510/710 Euros.

Partida Tequila

A new and exclusive addition to the Wine Shops' extensive spirit range from super premium Mexican tequila brand Partida, the Elegante Extra Añejo, comes in a numbered, hand finished decanter with a crystal stopper. Its taste is so far removed from the burning sensation many associate with tequila that you may have difficulty recognising it.

This smooth, matured tequila is made using the very best hand harvested blue agave, which is then distilled and aged to perfection, in the finest American oak barrels. The flavour is almost bourbon like; the sweet honey, vanilla nose is followed with well integrated flavours of spice, apricots, caramel, raisins and a touch of agave tanginess. Partida achieves a rare and delicate balance between age old tradition and modern techniques, creating a sophisticated spirit with genuine heritage. £350 for 700ml.

No.209 arrives in the UK

A recent winner of Imbibe magazine's highly coveted 'Best in Class' award, this five times distilled gin from Edge Hill distillery in Napa Valley is one of the most exciting spirits to hit the UK for a long time. No.209 is marked out by a unique medley of base botanicals, a super-smooth mouth feel (acquired through the five step distillation process) and an original and eye-catching bottle presentation.

Developed using rare ingredients and eight all-natural botanicals sourced from around the world; the 209 recipe is created with a Napa winemaker's passionate attention to detail. The smoothness and unique taste is created from the fruity notes of juniper (Tuscany), the warmth of coriander (Romania), the lemony undertones of cardamom (Guatemala), the cinnamon aromas of cassia (Indonesia), and bergamot orange (Calabria), all blended to provide the citrus elements within this complex gin. To add to the flavour, the creation team expertly took the juniper berry heritage a step further by fusing it with citrus, exotic fruits, and spices.

This spring, Harvey Nichols has exclusively launched a new low calorie, limited edition Champagne, Pol Roger Pure. This new addition to the range is a wine in its most natural state without the addition of any sweetening dosage. Available at all Harvey Nichols stores in the UKand Ireland, Pure is priced at £33.50/46.50 euro per 75cl bottle.

An ideal offering for the health conscious consumer looking forward to a glass of summertime bubbly, men and women can breathe a sigh of relief as each drink has minimal calories per Champagne serving.
