For the Perfect Cocktail Party

Birmingham's most luxurious store has launched a guide to stylish summer dining and drinking, giving trend-setters a host of recipes and ideas for the perfect al fresco party. The complimentary handbag-sized booklet - called Summer Cocktails & Entertaining - is available to pick up in store now.

The guide features a collection of mouth-watering cocktails, from the Lavender and Lemongrass Daiquiri to the Blueberry and Basil Mojito. There are also canapé recipes devised by Head Chefs from our famous restaurants, the best in seasonal products and essential bar equipment from Harvey Nichols Foodmarkets, along with tips and techniques from in-house bar experts.

Why not try this delicious recipe, which is also available to sample in our Cafe. St-Germain, a delicately flavoured elderflower liqueur, works beautifully with Harvey Nichols Brut Champagne, resulting in a simple yet impressive summer drink. Serves one.

Ingredients:
30ml St-Germain elderflower liqueur
Champagne
Strawberry to garnish
 
Method:
Pour the elderflower liqueur into the flute, top with Harvey Nichols Champagne and stir gently. To garnish, place half a strawberry on the rim of the glass.

A Stylish Summer Tipple

If we have made you mouth water with the tempting cocktail above, then why not pick up a bottle of St Germain's Elderflower Liqueur from the Birmingham store.

Made from handpicked elderflower blossoms, macerated in eau-de-vie and distilled grape spirit, St-Germain is wonderfully fresh, with rich elderflower and tropical fruit, balanced by subtle lemon zest acidity.

Drink over ice, mix with white spirits or white fruit juices. It also makes for the most perfect summer cocktail, cheers!
