Hungary is a country famed for its waters. For millennia the mineral-rich liquid that gushes from its natural springs has been used in the treatment of all sorts of ailments. Despite this reputation, plus some of the oldest and most esteemed health spas in the world, it may not be the first place you'd look to find revolutionary skincare. Well you don't have to, because we've already taken a trip there and come back with a fabulous new skincare brand that is fast becoming the talk of the beauty industry.

Founded by a young Budapest-based couple, the Omorovicza line is created around those famous Hungarian waters. To attempt to harness the full benefits of these healing waters, the duo turned to the Hungarian laboratory originally responsible for the Nobel prize-winning discovery of vitamin C (quite a find!). Here they were able to create the Pannon ComplexTM that is the focus of the range. This complex is a unique blend of minerals and active ingredients identified for the capacity to complement and heighten the effect of the healing water. As the concept for the range developed, so did a philosophy of using all-natural ingredients and avoiding synthetic ones. The couple believe that the purest components provide the best long-term results, and the healthiest skin of course.

In the Omorovicza range that has just arrived at Beyond Beauty there is an entire family of targeted products that include the Rejuvenating Night Cream (above left £83). This cream utilises hazelnut peptide to increase skin elasticity, apple pectin to hydrate and sunflower oil that transports vitamin A to cells to rejuvenate them. The Gentle Buffing Cleanser (above right £42) is a mild exfoliant, based on pineapple and rosemary extracts and diatomaceous earth (which is much more hygienic than it might sound). It cleanses effectively but doesn't strip the skin of moisture - jojoba and shea butter take care of that - the result is a comfortable and radiant complexion. We also recommend the Deep Cleansing Mask (£55) based on mineral infused muds from the thermal Lake Héviz. Sounds yucky, but does the trick, leaving the skin soft and blemish-free.
