At the Second Floor Bar
Each month, our bar experts will deliver an educational and fun session on the history and ingredients of the most famous and desirable drinks around. Learn the bar techniques and tricks, and develop an understanding of the craft and dedication involved in the unsung heroes behind our greatest bars.
Try shaking a cocktail yourself or simply sit back, relax and watch the experts do it all for you.
Each class runs on Saturday from 10am - 12noon and tickets are £25 per person. Why not make a day of it and book for lunch at the Second Floor to follow?

2010 master classes:
Long Lost Mixes 27 March and 31 July A trip into the world of the original celebrity bartender, Jerry Thomas, writer of the first complete bartender's guide in 1862. This class will cover the weird and wonderful of his very own creations.
Contemporary Twists 24 April and 28 August The class will be a guide to a range of classic cocktails with contemporary seasonal based twists form Caipiriovska to Tequila Sazerac.
Infusions and Potions 29 May and 25 September House infused spirits, home made syrups, cordials and bitters.Creations form the Second Floor Bar itself used in all manner of mixed drinks.
Rum, the Spirit of Discovery 26 June Rum has a long a colourful history. This class will be an exploration of what many consider to be the home of rum, the Caribbean.
The Speakeasy 30 October A tour of American Prohibition era cocktials and mixed drinks from both sides of the Atlantic.
Hot Buttered Christmas 27 November Hot drinks, Toddies and warming creation just in time for Christmas.
