Contract cancellation

Please note that You may be entitled to cancel any contracts made through the Website if You so wish provided that You exercise your right no longer than seven working days after the day on which You receive the Products. Alcoholic merchandise

To enjoy Harvey Nichols wines at their peak, our Buyers suggest consuming them by June 2008.

It will be possible to purchase Products containing intoxicating liquor through our Website. For clarity a drink containing alcohol is classified as intoxicating if it contains more than 0.5% of alcohol by volume (0.5% abv).

Pursuant to the Licensing Act 1964 it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, subject to a maximum fine on conviction of £1000.

Payment

With regard to any contract for the purchase of Products from our Website all prices and delivery charges are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the Products ordered plus delivery charges as set out in the Delivery section of the Website. Payment can be made by any of the methods specified in the Payment section of the Website and payment will be debited and cleared from your account.

All payments made by cheque are payable to Harvey Nichols and Company Limited. All payments by cheque, credit, debit and store cards online fully abide by the Conditions set out here.

You confirm that the credit, debit or store card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

Refusal of transaction

With regard to any contract for the purchase of Products from our Website we reserve the right to withdraw any Products from the Website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on the Website. Or provide a corporate or personal cheque that must clear for payment by transax in full prior to any despatch of goods. Personal cheques must have the cheque guarantee card number written on the back; and

Delivery Information

You can select a date for delivery of your order based on a calendar provided on the Website for each recipient. The dates You are able to choose will depend on the destination to which your hamper is being sent and the kind of service required.

PLEASE NOTE: A signature is required when your order is delivered.

Standard Service


Standard service is based on a named day delivery basis. Named days are Monday to Friday. We do not offer a next day delivery service at this time. Standard service is offered to all customers.

Premium Service

Harvey Nichols now offers a premium delivery service. This service is ONLY offered to United Kingdom mainland addresses.
Deliveries can be arranged for any morning (Monday to Saturday) or any time on a Saturday. These deliveries are subject to additional charges. Deliveries will not be made on a Sunday.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to enter all recipient delivery address details correctly.

Missed Delivery


If no-one is at home when we deliver we will attempt to leave your order with a neighbour. We will always leave a card explaining what we have done with your order. If it is not possible to leave your order with a neighbour we will attempt to deliver your order the following day. If we are then unsuccessful we will leave a second card. After that, your order will be returned to our depot. The addressee will then need to call the number on the card to rearrange delivery. If we do not hear from the addressee within one week of leaving the second card we will contact you, the purchaser, to make alternative arrangements for delivery.
