This is what simple Valpolicella should be all about.” They also featured it as the ‘Wine of the Week’ and awarded it ‘VGV’ status meaning ‘very good value’. The new 2020 vintage of Allegrini’s Valpolicella is every bit as wonderful making this a wine not to be missed.
This rebellious Valpolicella forwent its ‘Classico’ status (which requires a cork) so that it could be bottled under screwcap to maximise its freshness. Crunchy vibrant and alive with red fruit tangy cherry and spices; it’s a go-to for anything with lots of ripe tomatoes in it potato salads laced with lemon and capers pizza pasta or vegetables roasted in the oven or on the barbeque.
