We’re so excited to have uncovered this parcel because white Saint-Joseph is such a rare and delicious treat.
André Perret’s Saint-Joseph Blanc is an equal blend of Marsanne and Roussanne aged in a mix of oak and stainless steel for 12 months. The result is a highly aromatic white with notes of peach acacia honey Mirabelle plums pears tropical fruit and orchard blossom. It’s a fine choice for pairing with buttery fish and seafood particularly sole meunière. But we also like to experiment with tagines mushroom risotto fish pie and asparagus with hollandaise sauce.
André Perret is one of the Rhône Valley’s finest producers. His wines are an unforgettable experience. Located in Verlieu-Chavanay a little village near Vienne his father’s farm was mainly orchards filled with fruit trees when André took over in the 1980s. He quickly planted it with vines and has become a legend of Condrieu who also creates absolute gems from Saint-Joseph. His wines have a classic feel and an almost Burgundian style.
