Limited to only a few hundred bottles of each new batch the six-strong team in Burnley Lancashire push the boundaries of craft distillation. Although usually only available to those on their subscription plan Batch Brew has allowed us to cherry-pick a few of our favourites from their latest creations.
If you love lemon biscuits you’re going to fall head over heels for this new rum. Batch Brew’s Limited Edition Broken Biscuits Rum is made by barrel ageing Caribbean white rum with fresh lemons vanilla pods powdered sugar malt and oats. This vegan-friendly recipe was inspired by the Junior Distiller Ryan’s childhood memories of coming home to bags of broken lemon biscuits from the Farmhouse Biscuits factory. When you sip it you’ll discover sweet lemon oaty goodness and a creamy finish. It makes a stunning Long Island Iced Tea; it can be topped with lemonade bitter lemon or your favourite iced tea; it can be shaken into a biscuity Daiquiri; and we can’t wait to start experimenting with a cocktail version of Lemon Meringue Pie.
Batch Brew use ethically sourced superior ingredients to handcraft premium spirits. They started in the basement of a terraced house in Burnley Lancashire but now have moved to a renovated mill. Impressing the judges at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2018 they picked up a Double Gold that has rocketed them on to the radar of discerning drinkers around the world.
