The Tete d’Or cuvée is made from all the very parcels that Billaud-Simon own at the village appellation level. These are all situated next to Premier and Grand Cru sites so you get real bang for your buck with this wine. Around 20% was matured in French oak just as they do for their Grands Crus imparting complexity and richness to the classic steely citrussy and saline character.
