Petit Chablis 2020 - Alain Geoffroy

Alain Geoffroy

Petit Chablis 2020

Like running across wet pebbles at the beach on a bright sunny day, straight into crashing waves of lemon sorbet, orange blossom, hawthorn and crunchy green apples. Invigorating and vivacious, this wine is petit in name only.

As the creator of our very own Chablis and one of the appellation’s most respected producers, Alain Geoffroy needs little introduction. Established in 1850, this family-run estate tends around 45 hectares of vines and is one of our absolute favourites.

Petit Chablis comes from the higher ground on the outskirts of Chablis, usually on the younger and less highly prized Portlandian soil. Alain Geoffroy’s, however, is located on the Kimmeridgian limestone that has made the mineral-driven wines of Chablis so famous. Making this a very serious wine for its price and a go-to white for summer lunches, big dinner parties, fish, seafood, goats’ cheese, crunchy salads and filling the wine rack.
