Tasting Notes
The Allegrini family has been growing grapes in the Valpolicella Classico area for six generations. The estate covers 100 hectares of southeast facing vineyards 240 metres above sea level. The average age of the vines is 31 years old.
Made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta grape varieties this wine is named after the founder, Giovanni Allegrini. The blend was racked into 225 litre French oak barriques, where it remained for 14 months until bottling. It matured for a further ten months in bottle before release.
Aromas of candied fruit are followed by fresh floral notes and spice. Beautifully balanced this is an approachable wine of great finesse.
