Fruit Cream Liqueur Miniature 50ml

Amarula is a cream liqueur made in South Africa by distilling the fermented fruit of the Marula tree. Matured for at least two years in French oak, which imparts vanilla and toasty nuances, it’s then blended with rich, velvety and luxurious real dairy cream. Sip this regular gold medal winner over ice, or gift it to a Baileys fan to broaden their horizons.

The Marula trees only grow across Africa’s subequatorial plains and are protected as a key part of African heritage under law. They cannot be cultivated, so their wild and exotic fruits flourish naturally in the height of summer. Looking a little like yellow plums and proving very popular with the local elephants, they contain four times the vitamin C of the average orange and have a citrusy tang, accompanied by a creamy and nutty flavour that comes through in this unique liqueur.

In African folklore, the Marula tree is also known as “The Marriage Tree”, because it provides a wedding canopy and is rumoured to have aphrodisiac properties. So, maybe these miniatures would also make good wedding favours or a cute wedding present ahead of a safari honeymoon?
