Barbera Bianca 2016 - Castello di Cigognola

Castello di Cigognola

Barbera Bianca 2016

This curious fluted bottle hails from Oltrepò Pavese, a little-known region of Lombardy once known as Old Piedmont. What makes this beautiful Bianca unique is that it’s a delicate white crafted from Barbera – a grape usually associated with reds. Pressed gently and quickly to avoid colouring, Castello di Cigognola has conjured a herbal, mineral and lemony wine with a pale yellow hue and delightful floral, spicy and appley nuances. Fans of Fiano, Falanghina and Timorasso should take note.
