Château Mouton Rothschild

Situated in the village of Pauillac, France, the Château Mouton Rothschild vineyard sits twenty-seven meters above sea level on a hillock entitled ‘Plateau de Mouton’, known for its deep, gravelly soil. Founded by Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild, after he bought and re-named the Château Brane-Mouton at auction in 1853, the high-end estate is particularly famed for its painted labels that change year upon year. The tradition was introduced in 1945 by Baron Phillipe and makes each bottle a treasured collector’s item for fans of the exemplary wine.
