Cramant Grand Cru Brut Nature Champagne NV
Champagne Lombard – producers of our very own and much-loved Harvey Nichols Champagne – has created every Champagne lover’s dream: a series of Brut Nature bottlings that explore the classic Grands Crus of the region. These are wonderfully geeky and offer a completely unique experience for any true Champagne aficionado.
This particular expression was created using Chardonnay grapes grown on the compacted chalk soils of Cramant Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel. The wine was then barrel-aged for six months before being bottled and allowed to undergo its secondary fermentation. Aged in the bottle for between five and six years, what comes out is a classic reflection of Cramant Champagne – rich and ample with a chalky complexity. For the full experience, taste this alongside one or more of the other releases in the range.
Located in the heart of Epernay, Champagne Lombard is supplied by 100 hectares of vineyards situated in the region’s most illustrious crus. If you want to learn about the terroir of Champagne, then you’ve come to the right place. The highly skilled winemaking and the rigorous parcel selection process to which all the wines are subject to, creates Champagne of intense purity and with a great sense of place.
