12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Cragganmore

12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

“The most complex nose of any Single Malt Scotch Whisky.” – Michael Jackson

Cragganmore was founded in 1869 by a gentleman called John Smith, who had previously managed Macallan, Glenlivet and Glenfarclas. Suffice to say, he knew what he was doing. He installed flat-topped stills to increase the complexity and built a railway that made Cragganmore the first Scotch to be delivered by rail. And it has been an innovative dram ever since.

The legendary whisky and beer writer Michael Jackson wasn’t wrong about the complexity of the nose. Crafted with lightly smoked malt, Cragganmore 12 Year Old presents notes of Sherry, nutty brittle, malted milk biscuits, marmalade, granola, blossom, roasted chestnuts, floral honey, dew-laced herbs, hedgerows, vanilla, sandalwood and comforting wood-fire smoke. We could go on, but it’s best to find these things out for yourself…
