The glass is the culmination of copious research and an extensive road trip visiting Four Roses Heaven Hill Woodford Reserve Jim Beam Michter’s Chattanooga Willett Angel’s Envy Green Briar and Stitzel-Weller – the latter being the distillery that brought you Weller (before it moved to Buffalo Trace) Pappy Van Winkle and Bulleit. Denver & Liely asked master distillers how they wanted their whiskey to be delivered to the drinker they investigated the sweet rich and ballsy flavour profile and then set about designing. Shorter and wider than their Whisky Glass for Scotch it accentuates the smoothness and tames the volatiles while the stubby stem isolates the heat of the hand.
Two Melbourne-based friends Denver Cramer and Liely Faulkner have invested hours and hours and hours in travel research testing refining and tweaking before finally producing this glass. Their attention to detail when it comes to airflow and temperature control is second to none. We love this down-to-earth duo not just because of the performance and aesthetics of their glassware but also for their humility. They don’t shout about the fact they use the finest titanium crystal or their internationally recognised ethical and environmental accreditation because they believe these things should be a given and a baseline.
