Leander Pink English Sparkling NV - Digby

Leander Pink English Sparkling NV

Digby Fine English was created to produce the ultimate expression of English sparkling wine. Drawing inspiration from the history of English invention, the company's namesake is Kenelm Digby, the Englishman who invented the modern wine bottle in the 1630s. The adventurous house takes a unique approach to producing world-class sparkling wine; that of négociant. It cultivates long-term relationships with some of the best vineyards in England then focuses its energies on the art form of blending, where true quality is born.

Created for the Leander Club (one of the oldest rowing clubs in the world), Leander Pink is a non-vintage sparkling that exemplifies just how elegant English sparkling wine can be. The wine has a lively nose reminiscent of red fruit, strawberries, roses and toast. The palate is characterised by silky bubbles and a lovely freshness so typical of the best English sparkling wines. Perfect on its own, it can be enjoyed with canapés, poached salmon as well as fruit-based desserts.
