Chambolle-Musigny 2013 - Domaine Michel Gros

Domaine Michel Gros

Chambolle-Musigny 2013

This Chambolle-Musigny has the power and precision of a Premier Cru. Brimming with black cherry fruit and mixed spice, it picked up a Silver Medal from the International Wine Challenge and would be an exceptional choice for pairing with grouse.

Michel Gros was awarded the International Wine Challenge’s Red Winemaker of the Year, not once, but twice. Considering the number of people making red wine throughout the world, that’s a considerable feat. But not a surprising one considering that he’s the sixth generation of a Burgundian winemaking dynasty, and his sister, brother and cousin all run well-respected wineries under the name Gros also.

A go-to producer for wine critics; Neal Martin says: “I feel that I have been visiting Michel Gros in Vosne since I was a child. He was one of the first growers to show me what a barrel cellar looks like and I’ve been enjoying his wines since the late 1990s.”
