Designed for celebrations this is the rare taste of true luxury.

Not content with being the bestselling and most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky in the world Glenfiddich has innovated once again to create the Grand Cru of the category. This 23 Year Old Single Malt has been finished with a flourish of around three to six months in rare French cuvée casks. Cuvée casks are the barrels in which the first fermentation of wine that will go on to become Champagne takes place. These barrels are only used by the finest Champagne producers with most preferring to use stainless steel. As a result these barrels are exceedingly hard to come by and that makes this a true one of a kind.

Champagne grapes are picked young when they are acidic and fresh so these barrels are yeasty from the fermentation and tart from the juice they contained. And this comes through in Grand Cru. So you’ll discover that the classic Glenfiddich flavours of pear sorbet apple pie melon sandalwood cinnamon and vanilla are joined by the yeastiness of baked bread white grapes freshly squeezed lemons brioche and the tang of cider apples. The lingering Champagne-like finish will make you reconsider whether you reach for a whisky tumbler or a bottle of sparkling wine the next time you have something to celebrate.

Glenfiddich was founded by William Grant in 1887 and today represents the world's most awarded single malt Scotch. Still managed by William’s descendants and still using the same water source Glenfiddich continue to evolve improve and innovate and the whiskies released have never been better.
