Blanc de Blancs NV Champagne

The historic and highly regarded Champagne house of Gosset represents one of Champagne’s most recognisable and cherished names. Although Gosset Blanc de Blancs represents the first new addition to the Gosset range for many years, it has been well worth the wait. Composed of a multi vintage blend (based on the 2005 vintage with some reserve wine from 2004 and 2003) this Champagne is a 100% Chardonnay release that spends a lengthy 5 years on the lees and weighs in at a very dry 7 g/l of residual sugar. Elegant and restrained on the nose, this brilliant Blanc de Blancs displays delicate notes of almonds, lemon, truffle and mineral. Dry, zesty and lean on the palate, indulgent flavours of nuts, mineral, citrus fruit and toast are revealed which last long on a complex, attractive and persistent finish. Only 30,000 bottles were produced, making availability very limited. Try with hake, turbot in wild mushroom sauce for a great food and wine pairing.
