Beaujolais-Villages 2019

Hold onto your hats; something rather special has arrived. Made by one of Beaujolais’ rising stars, Philippe Vermorel, this fabulously fruity Gamay has more ooh la la than the Moulin Rouge. Magnifique with meat and charcuterie or on its own, maybe slightly chilled.

“Le Beaujolais est arrivé!” is the cry of bistro owners and wine merchants across Paris upon the arrival of each new Beaujolais vintage. As it's one of the most loved red wines, we’ve chosen to celebrate its popularity with our very own Harvey Nichols Beaujolais-Villages.

Made exclusively from Gamay grapes by Domaine de Rochemure, who employ the traditional process of carbonic maceration to produce a wine that’s fruity and aromatic with soft tannins. Fruit driven in style, this vibrant, deeply coloured wine has a deliciously scented nose suggestive of freshly picked summer berries, accompanied by more lifted notes of cherry and spice on the palate.

Soft, fruity and ripe, it is not only delicious to drink on its own, but it also provides a perfect match for a wide selection of charcuterie, roasted meats and casseroles, as well as salmon and flavoursome fish dishes.
