This wonderful, floral, fruity Margaux is a true Grande Dame. It was exclusively sourced from a top-secret château by winemaker extraordinaire Jonathan Maltus, the cult Bordeaux garagiste behind Château Teyssier and Le Dôme. Simply exquisite with a game bird, truffles or mature cheese.

Part of our limited-edition Premium Range, this Margaux is something exceptional, as you’d expect from any Bordeaux recommended by Jonathan Maltus. It comes from Soussans, a village in the Margaux appellation just north of the famous First Growth, Château Margaux. Although we’ve been sworn to secrecy about exactly which château created it, we can tell you that it’s a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Margaux is renowned for its elegance, velvety texture and gently floral character, which is why only 30% of this premium red has been matured in wood, to ensure that divine delicacy isn’t overpowered by too much oak. And coming from a vintage that the experts at Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate ranked as “Extraordinary” in Margaux, it’s an intriguing proposition for any Claret connoisseur. If you can get your hands on it, because we only created a limited run of around 3,000 bottles.
