Brand Bio
Highly-acclaimed Japanese designer Junya Watanabe is known for his avant-garde approach, having honed his talents under the expert eye of Rei Kawakubo. During his time at Comme des Garçons he came to design the Homme line, and then in 1992 he began to work on an eponymous line as part of the Comme des Garçons umbrella. Watanabe favours breakthrough textiles and unusual fabrications, a preference which ensures his designs stand out.
