These limited edition Le Monde Beryl mules are made in collaboration with (our favourite) international design magazine, Cabana, using original fabrics from the illustrious Venetian brand, Fortuny. We have chosen three different traditional and evocative Fortuny patterns printed on pure cotton for this special collection. More than a century old, Fortuny remains the highly esteemed Venetian textile company founded by noted artist, inventor, textile and fashion designer, Mariano Fortuny. Under management of the Riad family for 30 years, Fortuny is infused with the spirit of its founder. Every Fortuny fabric is still produced in the same factory, on the same machines, using the same secret process and techniques handed down from generation to generation for a century. Just as Mariano Fortuny used his love for the past and respect for tradition to inspire his creativity, today Fortuny continues to be a pioneer in the world of design and textiles.

Le Monde Beryl was founded in 2015 by friends Lily Atherton Hanbury and Katya Shyfrin – its name references a group of gemstones, an interest shared between the two co-founders. The footwear label specialises in recreating the classic Venetian gondolier slipper, presenting its modern take in a host of jewel-toned fabrics, often finished with elaborate embellishment.
