Cachaca

Leblon Cachaça is a single estate artisanal Cachaça made at the Destillerie Maison Leblon in Patos de Minas, Minas Gerais in Brazil. Leblon is produced using both traditional approaches along with creative European winemaking techniques to create a Cachaça that has a real point of difference. Gilles Merlet, famous master distiller from the Cognac region of France, has taken the spirit Cachaça to a whole new level with his ‘French touch,’ transforming the traditional distillery to a state-of-the-art facility. Produced in small batches using alembique copper potstills, the Cachaça is rested briefly in XO Cognac casks, and then blended across batches for flavour complexity, body, and aroma. The resulting spirit is an ultra premium version of Brazil's increasingly fashionable spirit that is full flavoured, seamlessly smooth and dangerously drinkable. Perfect for using as a decadent base for "posh" Caipirinhas, Leblon is also delicious to drink neat over ice.
