Réserve de Gassac Rosé 2018

A gloriously summery introduction to one of Southern France’s premier producers. Covered in Mediterranean herbs, the vineyards belonging to Mas de Daumas Gassac would be Grands Crus if they were anywhere but Languedoc. The Guibert family creates organic wines of subtlety and finesse that seem to soak up the local flora; bay, rosemary, thyme, lavender, fennel, mint and more. This delicate blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan is a masterpiece of subtlety and moreishness, if that’s a word. Sip its wild strawberry, pink grapefruit, frozen redcurrant, pink flower, dried herb and Provençal flavours alongside tabbouleh, picnics, baba ghanoush or nibbles. Just ensure there’s plenty of sunshine to go with this rosé.
