Mikkeller Beer Collection - Six Bottles/Cans

Mikkeller is probably the best brewer in the entire world. But it hasn’t always been that way. Back in 2006, Mikkel Borg Bjergsø was a maths and physics teacher experimenting with home brew in his kitchen in Copenhagen. Mikkeller went on to become a roaming brewer, roving the world creating weird and wonderful beers in other people’s breweries. Now he exports his innovative micro-brewed beers to 40 countries around the world and achieves some of the highest scores ever seen on RateBeer.com.

Our Mikkeller Beer Collection provides the ale aficionado a chance to explore some of the rarer brews, plus three limited editions made in collaboration with HBO to celebrate their new show, The House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones set some 200 years before. The selection opens with the classic Hallo Ich Bin Raspberry Berliner, a summery drop that feels like it’s part smoothie, part serious beer. Joining that, there’s a 2019 imperial stout with whisky and liquorice notes, and a completely unique Negroni-coloured “wheatwine-style ale” made with cocoa nibs, vanilla, peanut butter and coffee, before being matured in Bourbon, brandy and mead barrels. The three Game of Thrones beers include a frosty lager dedicated to Jon Snow’s direwolf, a cockle-warming stout matured in Bourbon barrels inspired by Castle Black and the Night’s Watch, and finally a Double IPA that reveals a surprisingly fruity and tropical side to the White Walkers.
