Chandon Garden Spritz
Chandon Garden Spritz is this summer’s must-have drink. Expect it to be poured all the way through to the final barbeques and alfresco gatherings of the season. Wherever there is sunshine, these innovative, orange-scented bubbles are sure to be present.
Redefining the spritz experience, the Chandon Garden Spritz story takes you around the world and back again. It starts with Moët & Chandon’s savoir faire and sense of adventure. In 1959, the world-famous Champagne house set out to explore for new terroirs and planted their first vines in Argentina. There, they created a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Semillon grapes – slowly fermented using the Charmat method to retain its frivolous fruity fun – that would go on to be crowned ‘Best Argentinian Sparkling Wine’ at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2020. That award-winning wine was infused with a bittersweet liqueur created using a unique blend of herbs, spices and natural extracts from the peels of handpicked Valencia oranges. It took them 64 tweaks and refinements over a four-year period to get the balance of bubbles and liqueur just right in this artisanal recipe.
Chandon Garden Spritz contains no artificial colours, it’s lower in sugar than most spritz recipes, and it tastes like the joy of summer holidays. Aromatic, vibrant and gently bitter, this pre-mixed cocktail will revolutionise aperitivo hour, sunset rooftop gatherings, garden parties and picnics in the park. For the perfect serve, add three ice cubes, a slice of orange and sprig of rosemary or stick of cinnamon to a glass, then top with the ready-to-drink Chandon Garden Spritz.
Louis Vuitton-Moët-Hennessy’s portfolio includes Dom Pérignon, Krug, Ruinart, Château d’Yquem, Cheval Blanc, Ardbeg, Glenmorangie, Belvedere, Cloudy Bay and a veritable who’s who of fashion, cosmetics and jewellery, so it should come as no surprise that this is a stylish affair. Chandon is LVMH’s sparkling wine venture, founded by the pioneering Robert-Jean de Vogüé. It now spans four continents, making wines in Argentina, California, Brazil, Australia, China and India. So, the sun never sets on Chandon Garden Spritz.
