A blend of Tempranillo, Grenache, Carignan and Graciano, matured in French oak for 26 months, before resting in the bottle for a further year and a half before release. Energetic notes of blackberry jam, espresso, cocoa, stewed plums, autumn leaves, distant bonfire smoke, chocolate-covered figs, balsamic, tapenade, toast, black truffle, peppery spices, vanilla and cedar all intermingle elegantly. Serve with a Sunday roast and anything cooked on a charcoal grill, or for dinner parties when you need to make an impression.

Muga was founded by Isaac Muga Martínez and his wife Auro Caño in 1932 and is today one of Rioja’s most iconic names. Based in the Alta sub-area of Rioja, the wines produced by Muga are traditional in style and are typically stylish, refined and aged for a long period in oak barrels.
