Roseline Shiraz 2015

Classic Shiraz from the top vintage, darling. Sorry, we meant that it comes from Darling, South Africa.

The vineyards that create Roseline Shiraz are located in rugged hills just 4km from the sea. Here the sea breezes and fogs cool the vines and prevent the grapes from cooking beneath the hot African sun. 2015 was an incredible year in South Africa, Wine Advocate has never rated a vintage more highly. The Roseline is an impressive little number, packed with black plum, blackberry, black olive and black pepper. Full of vibrancy and life, this is a perfect partner to barbequed burgers, tapenade, roasted aubergines and spicy tomato sauces.

The Ormonde farm was established by William Vernon Basson, whose motto was “mediocrity is never an option”. The Basson family still live by this creed, so you can expect a red that punches well above its price.
