Peychaud's Aromatic Cocktail Bitters 148ml
An indispensable piece of kit, Peychaud's Aromatic Cocktail Bitters has the uncanny capability of enhancing the taste of a wide range of cocktail recipes. This classic has been made in New Orleans since the late 1790s, and it’s brimming with warming Christmassy spices, liquorice, orange peel and cherry flavours. It’s like super-concentrated Campari and adding a dash to a Manhattan, an Old Fashioned, a Whisky Sour or a Sazerac is a must.
Invented by Antoine Peychaud, who created a Drug and Apothecary Store in New Orleans, and marketed his bitters as a medicinal tonic. On the side, he also mixed them into brandy and other liquor. This idea was picked up by a bartender called Leon Lamothe, who worked at the Sazerac Coffee House, who used it to create the Sazerac.
