The Philipponnat family has been based in the Champagne region since the 17th century and began producing Champagne in the middle of the 19th century. Family owned to this day, Philipponnat is one of the principal owners of grand and premier cru vineyards in the heart of Champagne, comprising of mainly Pinot Noir grapes. The emphasis is on quality and no corners are cut. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand and the vinification process is slow and traditional leading to rich and rounded Champagnes of great depth and distinction.
Rich, complex and powerful in style, this fine example sets a lofty benchmark for the non-vintage category. Produced only from top quality fruit and benefitting from a three-year ageing process, this Champagne abounds with flavours of fresh toast, nougat, strawberries, red currants, and candied mandarin. A decadent addition to any dinner party, this Rose will complement any salmon based dish, noble seafood or tuna tartare.
