In the heart of the Grande Champagne region of Cognac, ten successive generations of the Ferrand family have passed on their cumulative knowledge of growing grapes and transforming them into exceptional spirits. Alexandre Gabriel bought the house in the 20th Century and has been working tirelessly to uphold their traditional methods, sometimes pushing the current rules and boundaries of Cognac to make award winning Cognacs year on year.
With a sustainable agricultural approach, Ferrand Cognac are committed to respecting the terroir as well as making exceptional spirits, such as pioneering the use of sheep to trim the grass naturally and enforcing a ban on herbicides, resulting in the award of a ‘High Environmental Value’ certificate for their Cognac making.
