Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple Rum - Plantation

Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple Rum

Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple Rum was created by Alexandre Gabriel, the cellarmaster at Plantation, and David Wondrich, one of the world's foremost authorities on cocktails and the author of the book Imbibe! It's a tribute to the esteemed Reverend Stiggins whose favorite drink was the 'pineapple rum' in the Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens. Not intended for sale, the rum was created to share among colleagues and friends at Tales of the Cocktail 2014. 'Victim' of its own success, immense demand eventually led to its commercial launch. A rich and delicious bouquet is accented by smoky notes and aromas of tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus peel, and a touch of clove. The palate opens with a structured, pleasant sensation of ripe banana, pineapple and spices layered into a smoky finish. This remarkable rum is delicious to drink neat or mixed, and won Best New Product at the 2016 Spirited Awards at Tales of the Cocktail.
