A vodka of singular beauty whose provenance can be traced back to the fields on one single farm in Wiltshire. When entered into the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2016, alongside almost 2,000 other vodkas, Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka emerged as one of only two English vodkas to receive Gold Medals. The accolades have continued to flow ever since, as proven by it being crowed “Spirit of the Year” by the London Spirits Competition 2021.
The success can be attributed to the complete control that the Ramsbury Estate has over this environmentally conscious vodka. Using chalk-filtered water from their own well and the finest Horatio and Spotlight wheat harvested at optimal golden ripeness, they handcraft this premium spirit in their state-of-the-art biomass-heated distillery. Any spent grain is fed to their cows, waste water is filtered through a sustainable reed bed into a picturesque lake teeming with wildlife, and once bottled the vodka is served at the bar of their pub – itself the winner of the AA Hospitality Pub of the Year England 2017-2018 – alongside beer from their brewery and meats from the estate’s smokehouse.
Creamy and silky, you’ll find complex notes of citrus, dried fruit and chocolate, plus – the hallmark of the Horatio wheat used – a touch of sweet caramel and vanilla. Perfect mixed, but so full-flavoured and characterful that it is a joy sipped chilled.
